This is a 3D sphere which is made with shards of ceramics collected from the shores of the Thames. Each piece of ceramic is unique ranging from a fragment of a 16th century Bartmann pot, to pieces of 17th century slipware to pieces of discarded 17th and 18th century clay pipes.
The sphere isĀ intended to be used as a gazing ball ornament for interior use, or alternatively as a feature for the garden.
It is made with frost proof ceramic but should be brought inside during the winter.
